Ronald Eichelberger

Ronald Lee Eichelberger, 69, of Red Bud, Ill., born Dec. 11, 1945, in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.

Ronald had been a union plumber for 50 years and owner of Ron Eichelberger Plumbing for 20 years. He was also a farmer.

He was of the Catholic faith. He was a member of the River Road Cruiser, Plumbers and Pipe Fitter Local 360 in Collinsville, Ill., and former member of the Millstadt Coon Hunters Association. He was a former Musket Football coach.

Ronald loved restoring antique cars. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved all animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Virginia, nee Weir, Eichelberger; and a nephew, Ryan Trigg.

Surviving are his wife, Sue, nee Johnson, Eichelberger, whom he married on July 30, 1966, in Belleville, Ill.; four daughters, Kimberly Eichelberger of Shiloh, Ill., Kris Eichelberger of Waterloo, Ill., Kelly (John) Bione of Red Bud, Ill., and Becky (Jason) Galeski of Columbia, Ill.; four siblings, David (Shirley) Eichelberger of O'Fallon, Ill., Rebecca Trigg (fiance Jim) of Ellisville, Ill., James (Geralyn) Eichelberger of Waterloo, Ill., and Timmy (Kathy) Eichelberger of Belleville, Ill.; five grandchildren, Mindy Skinner, Brooke Bione, Blake Bione, Grace Galeski and Cole Galeski; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home, Red Bud, Ill.

Funeral: A private memorial service will be held at a later time. It was Ron's wishes to be cremated.
