Ruth Greenlee
Ruth Laura Greenlee, nee Richards, 88, of Story City, Iowa, born Feb. 12, 1920, in Caseyville, Ill., died Sept. 12,2008, in her home.
Ruth was retired after working as a nurse at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill. She enjoyed quilting and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Roy Greenlee, whom she married Nov. 26, 1938; her parents, Charles and Laura, nee Paulsen, Richards; her brothers and sisters, and her grandson, Gabriel.
Surviving are her sister, Irene Witte; her children, James (Judy) Greenlee of Chula Vista, Calif., Jerald (Dorothy) Greenlee of Warrensburg, Ill., Kenneth (Judy) Greenlee of Hunington Beach, Calif., Janet (Virgil) Oeltjen of Creal Springs, Ill., Jacqueline (Ole) Skaar of Story City, Iowa and Gary (Annette) Greenlee of Belleville, Ill.; grandchildren, Michael and Jeffrey(Rahel) Greenlee, Jessica, Joy, Rachael and Kevin Greenlee, Leanne (George) Hausdorf, Brian (Jill) Oeltjen, Sheila (Bob) Nolan, Jennifer Skaar, Kathryn (Harold) Skaar-Perkins and Lars (Veronica) Skaar, Ryan, Danny and Kyle Green; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She goes to be with her Lord with our love. We will miss her in her passing. Blessed be her memory.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, at Valhalla Holten Funeral Home in Belleville, Ill., where family will be present.

Funeral: Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2008, at the funeral home followed by the graveside service at Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Ill.
