Samuel Heer
Samuel C. Heer, 92, of Mascoutah, Ill., born May 21, 1911, in New Baden, Ill., died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2003, at Greenwood Terrace Care Center, Swansea, Ill.
Mr. Heer was a retired grain and livestock farmer. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Mascoutah, Ill., Senior Service Program, Senior Citizens Social Club, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and St. Clair County Farm Bureau.
Mr. Heer was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl A., nee Krausz, Heer, whom he married April 3, 1946, in St. Clair County, and who died Jan 20, 2001; his parents, Phillip and Clara E., nee Auerenheimer, Heer; a brother, Henry Heer; and six sisters, Aleda, Ruth, Frieda, and Clara Heer, Edna Baer and a sister in infancy.
Surviving are four daughters, Darlene (Jon) Neil of St. Louis, Mo., Karen (Doug) Koschel of Fairburn, Ga., Janika Kaye of Eureka, Mo., and Sandra (Paul) Biver of Swansea, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Andrew and Robert Neil, Jennifer and Suzanne Koschel, and Katherine, Joseph and Samuel Biver; a sister-in-law, Leona Krausz of Mascoutah, Ill.; and nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Mascoutah, Ill.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12, 2003, at Moll Funeral Home, Mascoutah, Ill., and from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Zion Lutheran Church, Mascoutah, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003, at Zion Lutheran Church, Mascoutah, Ill., with the Rev. Mark Love officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, Ill.
