Steven Coil Steven Curtis Coil, 65, of Chester, IL, born April 14, 1953, in St. Louis, MO, died on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at Belleville Memorial Hospital, Belleville, IL. Steve was a graduate of East St. Louis Senior High School. He worked for Century Brass in Belleville, IL, and Chester Foundry in Chester, IL, for over 25 years. Steve loved to hunt and fish, was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan, and he played sports for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Jeannette, nee Knapp, Coil; and a brother, Ward Coil. Surviving are a son, Corey Coil of St. Peters, MO; his fianc‚, Linda Schaefer of Belleville, IL; his grandchild, Britton Coil; a brother, Robert (Lynette) Coil of Russellville, TN; his step-children and step-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and several loving friends. Dale Coleman officiating. Steve's wishes were to be cremated.
