Timothy Mattingly
Timothy E. Mattingly, 61, of Red Bud, Ill., born on March 16, 1948, in Red Bud, Ill., passed away at 7:05 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, at Red Bud Regional Hospital, Red Bud, Ill.
Mr. Mattingly had been an accountant for Gracehill Neighborhood Services in St. Louis, Mo. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Ill.; V.F.W. Post 6632 in Red Bud, Ill., and Knight of Columbus 12152 in Red Bud, Ill. He was a Vietnam Marine Corp veteran. He graduated from SIUE with a degree in accounting.
Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Louis T. and Berenice, nee Knittel, Mattingly; a brother, Louis T. Mattingly; an infant brother, Gerard Mattingly; and father-in-law, Percy Pelate.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie J., nee Pelate, Mattingly of Red Bud, Ill., whom he married on Nov. 17, 1973, in Red Bud, Ill.; four Children, Julie Mattingly of Red Bud, Ill., Jennifer (Chad) Minier of Waterloo, Ill., Timothy Mattingly of Indianapolis, Ind., and Mathew Mattingly of Red Bud, Ill.; two grandchildren, Lauren Mattingly and Evan Minier; seven siblings, Denis (Norma) Mattingly of Arkansas, Elaine (Paul) Crabtree of Maryland, Mary House of Illinois, Annette Carroll of Maryland, Stephen (Laura) Mattingly of Illinois, Rosemarie Mitchell of Colorado, and James Mattingly of Mexico; mother-in-law, Anna Pelate of Red Bud, Ill.; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Ruth Mattingly of Illinois, Shirley (Joe) Gorman of Illinois, Kenneth (Marilyn) Pelate of Illinois and Cathy Althoff of Illinois; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic School.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010, and from 8 to 9:45 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at Welge-Pechacek Funeral Home in Red Bud, Ill.

Funeral: Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Red Bud, Ill., with Monsignor Dennis Schaefer officiating. Interment with military graveside service under the direction of V.F.W. Post 6632 will be held at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Red Bud, Ill.
