Troy Matlock
Troy D. Matlock, 44, of Edwardsville, Ill., born on Oct. 16, 1964, in Alton, Ill., passed from this life on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
Mr. Matlock worked for the city of Edwardsville at the water department as a laborer for 25 years. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 99, Edwardsville, Ill. a Shriner, Moose Lodge 1561, Scottish Rite and the Alton Eagles Lodge.
Troy was preceded in death by his mother, Sylvia Matlock.
Surviving are his wife, Melinda, nee Rains, Matlock, whom he married on Nov. 1, 1985, in Edwardsville, Ill.; father and step mom, Dallas and Vicki Matlock of Edwardsville, Ill.; daughter, Randi Rains of Glen Carbon, Ill.; sister, Lisa (Kenneth) Bertrand of Edwardsville, Ill.; and mother-in-law, Phyllis Rains of Glen Carbon, Ill.
Memorials may be directed to Shriner's Hospital for Children.

Visitation: Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2009, at Irwin Chapel of Glen Carbon, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon, Ill.

Funeral: A Masonic service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. According to Troy's wishes cremation will follow.

Melinda,

I went to school with Troy and met you several times as well. I live in florida now and just saw this obituary. I am soooo Sorry for your loss. Troy was a wonderful person and I will always have memories of tooling around at lunch with him in his car. God Bless and watch over you and yours.

Dallas and Matlock Famiy,
