Vincent Bommarito Obituary
Vincent J. Bommarito Jr., 50, of Waterloo, Ill., born June 21, 1957, in St. Louis, Mo., died Monday, April 7, 2008, in Columbia, Ill.
Vincent was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and UAW Local 136.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent J. Bommarito Sr.; and his grandparents.
Surviving are his wife, Linda, nee Benne, Bommarito of Waterloo, Ill.; children, Melissa (David) Allen, Stephanie Bommarito, Aaron Bommarito, and Ryan Bommarito all of Waterloo, Ill.; his mother, Elsie Bommarito of Joliet, Ill.; a brother, Salvatore (Arlene) Bommarito of Texas; a sister, Patricia (Paul) Norris of Naperville, Ill.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Florence Benne of Waterloo, Ill.; and sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2008, at Quernheim Funeral Home, Waterloo, Ill., and from 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Waterloo, Ill., with Pastor Tony Troup officiating. Burial will be in Kolmer Memorial Cemetery, Waterloo, Ill.

I knew Vince in high school. I haven't heard anything about him for years but was so shocked to see the notice of his death. My family was also close to the Benne family in Cahokia (Harold and Norma Culp). It is obvious from reading the guest book that the funny kid I remember from school grew into a loving family man and friend. I am keeping all of your family and friends in my prayers. Our family is still in shock and disbelief. It will take sometime to get over the fact that Vince won’t be knocking on our door looking for the boys to come home or dropping them off.
