I am a friend of Ann's from "life". We first met at Anne Wright School in Tacoma. I'm having a flash back to a time when my daughter Susanne and Max were little. We were picking blackberries on Orcas and the kids were wearing the pans on their heads while Ann and I picked. We enjoyed several weeks off and on while Paul went fishing with his guy friends. Funny thing about his fishing, Ann caught a beautiful salmon just off Doe Island in their 8 ft. dingy....she hooked and I netted. What a thrill. Seldom would she get snookered. Paul returned one day from his fishing adventure...not looking well and Ann and I had caught this 20 something lb. salmon in 30 minutes. It was so big, we had a neighbor gill is so it would keep for our surprise show. We had it in a fern coated wheelbarrow for the presentation. I guess it was a little much but it only took 30 min. just off their cabin while Paul and the guys fished for several days. Paul was so proud of Ann's fish, he wheeled it over to all his friends. What a day!
Ann had an infectious laugh and could get most anyone chuckling within seconds. There were times at AWS when we laughed for hours. I loved and treasured my times with her. Ann is missed...will be by so many. Because of the woman she was with so many talents/strengths, she has touched the lives of many many people of all ages. I truly feel blessed to have called her my friend. God bless you, Ann. You are an angel.

I am a former employee of Mt. Baker Bank where Paul served as President. I remember every year Ann would make every employee of the bank a very special hand made Christmas gift. She was admired by all. When I think of her, I think of that wonderful, warm smile. My thoughts and prayers are with Paul and the rest of the family.
