Annie Gustafson Obituary

Our beloved Mother passed away at home surrounded by her family on February 27, 2017. She was born on January 25, 1935 in Mission City, B.C. to Nicholas and Marie Stech. After marrying Carroll Gustafson in 1952, they made their home and raised a family in Bellingham. Annie retired from the Bellingham School District after 25 years. She enjoyed her retirement traveling, painting, gardening, volunteering, the last few years she enjoyed her backyard chickens. But her biggest joy was spending time with her family and friends. Her husband preceded Annie in death in 2000. She is survived by two sisters and her children; Carol Hamilton, Barbara Forstrom (Stan) and Cary Gustafson (Kimberly). Also Grandchildren; Ryan Forstrom (Carly), Amy Hall (Evan), Carter Gustafson and 4 Great grand daughters. A special thank you to Bert Bevins and Willie DeLaura for all the love and care they have shown to our family. A Celebration of Life will take place at 1pm on Sunday, March 5th with a graveside service and reception at Moles Greenacres (5700 NW Dr, Ferndale). Memorial donations may be made to the Assistance League of Bellingham or the Bellingham Food Bank. Please share memories at www.molesfarewelltributes.com

I'm so sorry For the loss of my best friend of many years. This is so hard to except and can't find the words on how much I loved her. We were like Sister's working at the Sehome High School. { They called us the two Polack's} Those were such good and fun times, we also traveled on many Criuses and bus trips together. She has such a wonderful family, she was so proud and loved, each and everyone of them. I was honored to be invited to a few family occassions. Cary and Kim's barbecue parties, Amy's wedding and baby shower, and a many others.
Dear Lord take good care and spread her love in Heaven. She had so much to give. I will miss her. My deepest sympathy to all Annie's Family, With Love.

One of the blessings of my years at Bellingham Food Bank is to have had the pleasure of working with and getting to know Annie. She was such a remarkably caring, generous, and hardworking woman. And she inspired us to pursue art and/or whatever our passions may be. She will be missed by so many. Wishing God's peace for Annie and her family.

I remember Ann and Carroll from Northwest Road-and all three of you kids! What a fun neighborhood it was. I visited a bit with your mom at my mom and dad's yard sale after they passed away in 2003. Carol, Barbara and Cary, I am so sorry for your loss-she was such a nice lady-may the Lord bring you comfort and good memories.
