B. Dibble Obituary

On Thursday, February 24, 2011 our beloved mother, Arlene Dibble took Dad's hand and walked through heaven's gates together for all of eternity. B. Arlene Dibble was born on August 29, 1930 in Bellingham, the daughter of Hans and Pearl Erickson. She attended Whatcom Middle School and graduated from Bellingham High School in 1948. Her working career was with Bellingham National Bank. On May 28, 1955 she married the love of her life, Clayton Blakeman Dibble in Vancouver, WA. Mother dedicated her life to the birth and raising of her children. In her own remarkable way, she anchored us all in our lives and gave us the truest sense of ourselves. Her heart was always ready to share every emotion we felt, be it sadness, frustration, disappointment or elated joy. Her life was full beyond measure with the beauties that come from such a close, Christian family. Mom is survived by two sons, Dale and wife Dori Dibble of Everson, WA, Don and wife JoEllen Dibble of Lakewood, CO., and her daughter and best friend, Lori and husband, Michael R. Dodd also of Everson, WA. She also is survived by her sister Edna Larion of Eugene, OR. She has eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She is survived by numerous very special nieces and nephews who all share wonderful memories of times spent with "Aunt Arlene". She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton, brothers Wilmer, Gordon and Norman. She was also greeted in heaven by her infant daughter, Carol Diane and granddaughter, Destinee Joy Dibble. What a joyous celebration in heaven this day! Visitation will be Wednesday, March 2nd, 4 PM -7 PM and Thursday March 3rd, 10 AM -12 Noon at Moles Greenacres Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Thursday at Greenacres Memorial Park, followed by a celebration of life at 3 PM at Grace Baptist Church, 3920 James Street Road, Bellingham with Pastor Robert Mordhorst officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. The family wishes to thank the staff at Meadow Green Assisted Living, Christian Health Care Center and Whatcom Hospice for their love, care and support of Mother and all of us, her children. Memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church or Whatcom Hospice Foundation, 800 E. Chestnut Street, Bellingham. Lori, Donnie, and Dale - I am lifting you in prayer for comfort in this time of loss. (Lori, I feel your pain as one who became "best friends" with my own mom. I miss her still...) But what a beautiful tribute you've written, and so wonderful to know that your mom has graduated to glory! I hope to see you at the church service, -Amy Cloud
