Barbara E. Gospodinovich

Barbara Gospodinovich, age 86, passed away peacefully at home in Bellingham on Thursday, September 29, 2016. Barb was born in Portland, OR on June 16, 1930 to Walter and Vera Lyons. She grew up in Garden Home, OR and attended school in Tigard and Estacada, OR. Barb married Anthony "Tony" Gospodinovich in Portland, OR and they moved the family to Bellingham in 1959. Barb was sweet, caring and had a great sense of humor. She was an excellent homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cooking, decorating her home, and the holidays. Barb liked reading, traveling, going for rides in her "sports car" and lunch out with the family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Barb was preceded in death by her husband Tony Gospodinovich, daughters Laurie Gospodinovich and Eileen Trentman, and brothers Bill and Jim Lyons. She is survived by her three children, Karen Gospodinovich (Neal Trevorrow), Joanne (Koll) Husemoen, and Dennis (Amy) Gospodinovich, grandchildren Colby, Connor, Sydney, Olivia and Kylie, and many loving relatives and friends. A celebration of life reception will be held at Westford's Broadway Hall, 1300 Broadway St. in Bellingham at 1 PM on Saturday, October 22nd.
