I'll always remember Great Uncle Bert as having a smile on his face. He was such a warm, friendly, genuine fellow. He will be missed.

I always enjoyed visiting Grandpa DeKriek in Lynden growing up. He was my friend's grandfather. I will remember his upbeat attitude and smile. My thoughts go out to the family.

Bert was my bestfriends father, he loved us and all unconditionally, and was always teasing and laughing and never judged us. I spent the majority of my teen years with them at their house, he was a kind, gentle, hardworking man who made many friends throughout his years because he always saw the good in people. RIP you will be missed and always loved. Jon and Anne Blair
