Bill Williams Obituary

Bill Ray Williams 09/06/1942 - 10/03/2017 Bill Ray Williams, 75, went to be with the Lord on October 3, 2017 at the University of Washington Medical Center from complications of leukemia. Bill was born on September 6, 1942 in Everson, WA, the 5th of 7 children to Robert and Lugene (Pritchett) Williams. Bill graduated from Nooksack Valley High School in 1961 and enlisted into the U.S. Army Reserve. He worked at Skagit Steel until it's closure, then worked for Darrel Johnson as a carpenter until his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the Wildcat Steelhead Club and the American Legion. Bill was an amazing husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. Everyone will remember his sense of humor, smile and his kind giving spirit. He was a very loved and special Grandpa to all his grandchildren and great-grandchild. Bill loved the Seahawks, camping, fishing the Skagit River and most of all playing music. He and Kathy enjoyed traveling the states and staying at their place in Mesa, Arizona where they made many friends and played music. Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy, at the family home in Sedro-Woolley; his son, Troy (Kim) Williams; daughters, Jamie Williams and Cindy (Chad) Flom; grandchildren, Nathan, Haylee, Shayla, Blake, Storm, Nicole, Colton and Cloe and great-grandchild, Cheyanne; brothers, Jack and Dale Williams and sister, Wanda Crumpacker. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; sister Jodie and brothers Bob and Ray. A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ the King Church in Burlington on Saturday October 21, 2017 at 11:00am. Memorials can be sent to American Lung Association (www.Lung.org) or the Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.

Bill was a wonderful man. I will always think of him picking guitar at Bluey Lake and teaching us how to sing Diamonds and Stones. Every time I hear that song I am taken back to that beautiful spot and Bill singing that song. God bless and keep you until we meet again. Deepest condolences to all Bill's family. I am blessed to have known him.
