Casimir Stepak

Casimir "Casey" Stepak went to meet his Lord and Savior on January 18, 2018. A memorial service will be held Monday, January 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bellingham, WA. He was born August 2, 1955, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to parents Kazimierz and Agnieszka (Kzemienska) Stepak. In 1963, the family moved to the United States and settled in the Cleveland, OH, area. After working in various locations throughout the United States, Casey found himself in Mandan, ND, where he met the love of his life, Judy Bornemann. They ventured to Washington State in 1992, settled in Bellingham, and married in 2006. Casey took great pride in his skills as a machinist, an occupation he maintained throughout his life. He enjoyed his faith family at Trinity Lutheran Church, Bellingham, where he was a member. Casey loved to fish, and he and Judy spent many hours at the various parks and lakes camping and fishing. He treasured their cat, Juliet. Left to mourn his loss are his wife, Judy Stepak, Bellingham, WA, sons Casey K. Stepak, LeRoy, MI, Levi (Sheila) Stepak, Duluth, MN, and daughter Jaime (Nick) Hockett, Bismarck, ND. Grandchildren Casey and Alex Stepak, Hunter Stepak and Veona Hockett, as well as sister, Teresa Blasko, Brunswick, OH, cherished mother-in-law Bernice Bauer, New Salem, ND, and in-laws Tom & Jean Bornemann, Beulah, ND, Jim & Brenda Olzweski, Mandan, ND, Carl & Sue Jacobson, Mandan, ND, and Paul and Greta Bornemann, North Bend, WA, along with many nieces and nephews. He maintained a special friendship with his former wife, Robin Kaelberer and former mother-in-law Leona Silcott. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mariano Stepak and sister Elena Stepak. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Grace Center at Trinity Lutheran Church, 119 Texas St., Bellingham, WA 98225, or Bellingham Hospice, 2800 Douglas Ave., Bellingham, WA 98225.
