Lynden, Washington - David Henry Dyck, 97, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024. He was born on July 18, 1927 in Newport, WA to Henry and Elizebeth Dyck. He lived and served in Whatcom County most of his life. Dave Dyck married Katie Neufeld on November 30, 1952 in Yarrow, B.C. After Katie's passing, Dave married Ruth Clancy on August 23,2003. Dave is survived by his wife, Ruth along with Dave and Katie's children Marlene and husband Larry Doores, Gary and wife Leora Dyck, Tim and wife Carrilee Dyck, and Laurie and husband Tony Morgan, several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 9th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Gillies Funeral Home. The memorial service is scheduled for Friday, January 10th at 11:30 a.m. at Grace Baptist Fellowship in Lynden followed by a reception at the church. In lieu of flowers, friends and family are encouraged to donate to a charity of your choice or a donation by check can be made to a scholarship fund established at Evergreen Beauty College c/o David Dyck Memorial Scholarship Fund sent to 1414 Cornwall Ave Bellingham, WA 98225 with a memo note "David Dyck Memorial Scholarship". My heart goes out to the whole family. Dave was a very good friend of mine. I stayed in their home after I came to Bellingham. I got many hair cuts.
