Sorry to hear of Doug's passing. We had some great times together at BHS. I remember fondly the outings we had at Lake Samish. Doug will be missed by all of us!

So sorry to hear of Doug's passing. I was one of his many band buddies and classmates at Bellingham High School. My earliest memory of Doug was our first gathering of incoming band member before school started for our first year at BHS. I think our band director, Doc Leedy, had recruited Doug for the band because he thought Doug could handle the big bass drum with the metal harness. Doc was right, because Doug carried that big drum for the next three years as part of an outstanding group of drummers in many parades and football game shows. I wish we could attend the memorial service, but my wife's health prevents us from travelling right now.
