Eleanor M. Frost

Eleanor Frost, age 83, passed away peacefully in Bellingham on September 21, 2018. She was born March 3, 1935 in Everson, WA to Arie and Ellen (Ford) Sluys. Eleanor was hard working, strong willed and determined. She was a single mom who worked as a waitress and raised four children. Eleanor enjoyed growing flowers of all kinds and hosting family get-togethers. For many years she was an active member of the VFW Post 1585 Auxiliary. She is survived by her children Shelley (Steve) Avery, Brian (Cheryl) Frost, Darin (Kristy) Frost and Karin Frost, grandchildren Allison, Brad, Peyton, Carson, Rowan and Tyler, great-grandchildren Cameron, Colton, and one more on the way, sisters Ann Adele (Chuck) Zeiger, Rhoda Sluys, Vangie Bevans, Esther (Riley) Poyner and Hazel (Russ) Haggen. Eleanor was preceded in death by brothers Billy and Edward Sluys, sister June McEvoy Cruson, infant brother William Sluys, and former husband Doug Frost. Visitation will be held at Westford Funeral Home on Sunday, September 30th from 2-4 PM. A graveside service will be held at Monumenta Cemetery in Lynden on Monday, October 1st at 11 AM followed by a Service of Remembrance at Westford Funeral Home in Bellingham at 12:30 PM.
