So sorry and sad to learn of Jerry's passing, my dog and I used to go to his place on Sun. when the paper person from the Herald forgot mine as I live the other side of Alder from him and discovered that we went to Hi School together. He gave me a ride a few yrs ago to one of the Sun. reunions at Bellingham Hi school. He didn't tell me he was ill the last time I was there so was shocked to learn he was ill, he was very quiet and didn't say to much when I was at his place but I was glad when he got a dog as they are alot of company. Will miss his friendly face and smile. He will be missed by all the neighbors. My condolences to his family. Alice Raught Townsend

Although I have not seen Jerry for many years, I still have great memories knowing him in High School and playing football on the same team. He had a great life and will be missed by everyone that knew him. Paul Farrell

So shocked and sorry to hear about Jerry.. We were neighbors on 21st Street as children and enjoyed the years that he hurried to my house to walk with me to school at Campus grade school. He was a true friend and an enjoyment to be around although very bashful. I saw him at the reunions and he always sat by me at the dinners..I am so glad to have known him during those times. I cannot travel to honor him at this time. Please accept my condolences. He was a wonderful man.
Very sincerely, Tina Holmes Pathakis
I will always remember Jerry's dedication to protecting Puget Sound. If there were more model citizens like Jerry, the world would be a better place.
