John Henry Williams

May 15, 1938 - May 24, 2025

Warner Springs, California - John was born to Ed and Elnora Williams in Juneau, Alaska. The family moved from Juneau to Sitka where they lived for several years. they moved to the family farm near Deming about 1945 then returned to Sitka for another year. They returned permanently to the family farm in 1946. John graduated from Mt. Baker High School. During high school he joined the Navy JROTC. After graduation he joined the Navy and retired after more than 20 years. During his early Navy career he married Diane Nygaard. They had a son, Christopher Williams. They later divorced.

When he retired from the Navy in San Diego, he started a tree trimming business and then in the late 1980s he moved to Warner Springs. In the late 1990s he started Watts New Under the Sun, Inc., a solar installation company - one of the first in SanDiego County.

He married GayAnn Farmer of Warner Springs.

He is survived by his wife of over 30 years, GayAnn Farmer, his son, Christopher Williams of Calif., grandson Ryan Williams of Bellingham, brother, Harry Williams (Linell) of Deming, WA, Sister, Carol Hayden (Thomas) of Oregon, 3 step children, Sabrina Robinson, Forest Powell, and Eleanor Powell and 5 step grandchildren. Also 2 nieces, 6 nephews and 3 great nephews and 2 great nieces.

He was a fantastic story teller and so entertaining, bending the truth did not seem to be an issue for us listeners. he lived the famous quote, "Never let the truth spoil a good story". He will be greatly missed by all his family and the multitude of his friends.
