Laytonville, California - Joshua David (JD) Hubsch, 44, died in Laytonville, CA on March 18, 2024. JD was born at the Naval Air Station on Whidbey Island, WA on October 11, 1979, to David and Lorisa Hubsch. A 1998 graduate of Nooksack Valley High School, he enjoyed playing varsity sports, especially basketball. His hobbies included fishing and playing cards. He had a great love for dogs. JD was preceded in death by his father, David Hubsch and grandfather, Duane Holweger. He is survived by son Beau Hubsch, mother Lorisa Hubsch, grandmother Charlotte Holweger, sister Sarah (Glenn) May, Maya Peterson, numerous other relatives, and his dog, Misty. In lieu of flowers or cards, please consider making a donation in his name to the Whatcom Humane Society

Jd was my good friend, I called him my adopted son. He always helped me when I needed help , he never said no he always would say,"ok when". misty is with his neighbor until she takes a ride to stay with shannon in Oregon.
He was my cribbage partner when he wasn´t working on my projects. He is very much on susan´s and my mind every day , we are incredibly sad , and we miss him a lot and he will always be with us in spirit.
He was a great man and very kind and loved misty and misty loved him too.this picture was taken December 8th after we cut a bunch of firewood . Then he kicked my butt in cribbage, I´ll never forget his laugh when he won...

I´m so sorry to hear about JD. He was a really good guy and an accomplished athlete. Always remember those good times on the basketball court, the golf course or just hanging around. He was a quick wit and a great person. Again, so sorry for your loss.
