Karl Lang Obituary

Karl Raymond Lang, aged 68, passed away on December 27, 2024, in Ferndale, WA. Born on June 13, 1956, to Basil and Mabel (Sybouts) Lang, Karl lived a life marked by a profound love for the outdoors.

Karl graduated from Sehome High School before furthering his education at Bellingham Technical College. He spent his professional life dedicated to maintenance and house painting, skills that he honed with precision and care.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Karl was an active member of the Mt Baker Garden Club and the Whatcom Dahlia Society, reflecting his passion for gardening. His love for nature extended to frequent camping and fishing trips, often accompanied by his cherished dogs along the rivers he adored. Karl also found joy in the world of remote-controlled planes, cars, and boats, a hobby that captivated his imagination and skill.

Karl is survived by his sisters, Marian Paananen and Linda Claus. He was preceded in death by his parents, Basil and Mabel Lang. His family and friends will remember Karl for his gentle spirit, kindness, and the quiet joy he found in life's simple pleasures.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Rome Grange, 2821 Mt Baker Hwy, Bellingham, WA 98226, on Sunday, January 26th at 3 p.m. This gathering will honor Karl's life and legacy, reflecting on the beautiful memories he created with all who knew him.
