Kenneth Wirth Obituary

Kenneth Wirth, age 63, passed away on October 29, 2017 in Bellingham, WA. Kenny was born in Brooklyn, New York on June 20, 1954, and grew to fill the shoes of his dad by helping raise his younger sisters. He attended school in Brooklyn and later moved to Washington. There he worked for many years at Bellingham Cold Storage, and was a longtime friend of Bill W. Kenny will be remembered for his kind and giving character, and will be dearly missed by the friends and family he leaves behind. He was great at making people laugh, even when they didn't want to. He was a big guy with a big heart, a big smile, and a big laugh. He loved watching any sport, but especially loved rooting for his favorites: the New York Yankees, the New York Rangers, and the New York Giants. And he was a fantastic cook! Kenny is predeceased by his mother Elizabeth and his father Kenneth. He is survived by his sons Andrew (Amie), Jacob (Courtney), and Mitch (Nicole); his granddaughters Kora and Ellie; his sisters Karen (Robert), Linda (Gene), and Sandra; his nephews Michael, Steven, and Matthew; as well as numerous cousins and friends. "Meinke!" He will be missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Lighthouse Mission at PO Box 548 Bellingham, WA 98227. A funeral service will be held on Friday November 10, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Moles Farewell Tributes (2465 Lakeway Dr. Bellingham), followed by a graveside committal at Bayview Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. To share your memories of Kenny, please visit molesfarewelltributes.com.
