Maxine and family,
So sorry to hear of Leo's passing. May you and the children find peace with the wonderful memories Leo leaves you with. Many times his name comes up, usually when we are cleaning crabs. Leo did have a unique way to get the meat out. You are in our thought and prayers.

Dear Maxine, Jana and boys,
We are so saddened to read the news of your loss, It's hard to fathom what to say that can ease the grief. We will always remember him from years ago with a grand, shining smile on his face and heart, with his blond locks flowing free.

A great memory, maybe the last time we saw you both, was maybe a few years back, when we road our bikes by your house on Lummi and thought we'd stop in, only to be welcomed like we were his long, lost friends!!! A great memory of Leo's life in general: giving, welcoming, warm and fulfilled. We will never forget him...thinking of you in this sad time, Maxine! We hope to see you soon.

Love, big hug, and sincerity, Kristen and John Whitehead

R.I.P. Big Leo. Well Travensheks at least hes pain free and you have an awesome angel looking over you guys now. I always enjoyed the times i got to spend around big leo and on the island whether it was on big leos boat with lil leo or hanging out in his shop. I always thought when i become a dad i hope im as cool as this guy. I heard a story not long ago about big leo he was fishing in bellingham bay in rough weather and they were hit by a big wave that washed him off the boat only to be washed back onto the boat by another wave. I know one thing he was in good hands with his wife being one of the top nurses in bellingham and his daughter following in her footsteps. Take care Travensheks.
