Leroy Tuttle Obituary

Leroy "Bud" Tuttle passed away Feb. 18, 2013 surrounded by family at St. Joseph Hospital. Bud was born in San Pedro, CA Aug. 8, 1932. After high school Bud enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Essex during the Korean War. He married Elizabeth McAllister in 1956 in Tacoma, WA where they lived for 25 years and raised 7 children. While in Tacoma he worked for the Milwaukee Railroad. In 1980 he moved his family to Sumas, where he finished his career with the Burlington Northern RR. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara Lee. He is survived by his loving wife Liz, sister Joan Wekell of Tacoma, his children: Ann Tuttle, Kathy Tuttle, David (Teri) Tuttle, Mike (Joan) Tuttle, Teresa (Erik) Charroin, Joe (Cindy) Tuttle, Karen (Bill) Dykstra and the thing that brought him his greatest joy his seventeen grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held Sat. March 9, 2013 at the Sumas Christian Reformed Church.

There are no words to describe how sorry I am for your loss. Mr. Tuttle was a good man and a great father. I will never be able to thank him enough for making the move to Sumas and bringing such a wonderful and loving family with him. All my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My love goes to my family as I can not be there. Grandpa took me in as his granddaughter yeast ago and despite the differences he wll always be my grandpa. Love and condolences to all. I love u and wll miss u grandpa. U are free to run with your mom
