December 1, 1931 - June 2, 2021
Ferndale, Washington - Nora Seagull, age 89, passed away at Skagit Valley Hospital Wednesday, June 2, 2021, where she received compassionate comfort care in her final days after a devastating fall at HomePlace Special Care at Burlington where she resided for the last 11 years, she was formally of Ferndale. Nora lived her life as a free spirit who was a member of the YMCA where she worked out and swam multiple times a week, practiced yoga, belonged to two hiking clubs, spent many hours at the beach with friends, swam in Bellingham Bay and carried bubble wands and soap in her car because you never know when you might want to make bubbles. Music, singing and dancing brought much joy to Nora's life. She never had a shortage of dance partners because she never said no when asked to dance. However, if no one asked, that didn't stop her; she could be seen close to the stage, near the band, dancing with herself. Nora was preceded in death by her son, Roy Karrer, who passed away January 12, 2017 and is survived by daughter, Shaughnessy Blake, daughter, Shannon Poster, son Daniel Karrer, plus 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
