Andzel Family...I just became aware of your enormous loss. I was an old friend of Rick´s from Hollywood Florida. We had wonderful times playing golf and hanging out. I never had the pleasure of knowing all the kids. He is with his Dad loving Heaven and watching over the Family. I´m just very sorry! Very difficult for a boy to lose his marvelous Dad so early.Take great care of Sandy. Class Lady! Anything I can ever do for the Family, would be my honor... Tim Frisbie, Palm Beach, Florida. I have been so touched by the outpouring of support from the entire community, and how each and everyone of you have lifted us up. When my husband Rick, the boys' father, got sick, we moved to Tallahassee so my parents could help me and and our 4 boys under the age of 11. I couldn't have picked a better community to live in, and I couldn't have made it without my guardian angels here on earth, and you all know who you are!
For those of you that were unable to attend Mickey's service, I thought I'd post what I said during it. I miss him so much...
I was looking through Mickey's baby book the other day, and I remembered some of his funny little "Mickey-isms". OK, here's one...he came home from school one day when he was 7, and he said Mom, Aaron said a bad word! And I said, what was the bad word? And he said, why don't you tell me all the bad words, and I'll tell you which one he said?!
When he was 4 or 5 he said, "Mommy, when lovebugs bite you, do you get hearts all over you?"
His dad was telling him that he had a college basketball scholarship, and he was a pretty good player. Mickey said, "Were you black then or were you this color?"!
Mickey was fun and charming and handsome. He hated shoes. He loved his Atlantic Ocean; surfing and skimboarding.
Mickey was an avid fisherman and duck hunter. He loved salt water fishing as much as fresh. He loved being on the water...if not on his surfboard, then in his boat. He loved the wind in his face on his motorcycle.
His dancing blue eyes and infectious laugh was what made everyone want to be around Mickey. His smile lit up buildings.
Mickey's love was thunderous, all-encompassing, loud, and surrounding. He was nothing if not loyal.
Once in Mickey's life, always in Mickey's life.
He collected friends like a child might save multi-colored sea shells.
He never met a stranger, he loved everyone.
And we all loved him so much...
Our lives are forever changed without Mickey.

I've known Mickey since we were little, him and jake bosman would always hang out & I wasn't far behind. My heart hurts for your family. I can only say to try and smile through the bad times. Everything happens for a reason & this too shall pass. I've lost a handful of friends within the past year and it doesn't get any easier you just have to learn to cope with it. All my love goes out to the family.

I'm so sad we never followed through with our plans to go out on the town together. You were gonna show me the ropes of Florida and we were gonna have a blast. i'll never forget how hard you laughed telling the story about ellicotville and skiing and throwing the snow on your uncle mike and aunt sue, along with chippers help you brought a smile to my face, and everyone's around you. I hope you are at peace and know you are loved, dearly and will remain that way forever. Watch over your brothers Mickey, your best friends need you. Your with your dad now, but just know how you touched our lives and how saddening it is to have you gone. Love you Mickey, always and forever. may you rest in peace.

When thinking of Mickey, I think back to first grade, a little blonde boy full of energy playing with my son. Words cannot express the hurt that is in my heart for your family right now, Sandy. Fort Lauderdale fell silent to hear of the loss of one of our Legendary sons, Mickey Andzel. Mickey was an extraordinary young man, with a passion for life, Love of Family, who always watched-over his younger brothers. Those of us who have had the privelege to know this legendary family deeply mourn this loss. Our hearts are full of memories of this young man, who throughout his young life cared deeply for others. We are praying for Sandy, Chipper, Danny and Jack.......always, david, debi, Bailea, matthew & Grace tinsley Fort Lauderdale, Fl

Love you, Mickey. I could never ever top your humor. You made me cry laughing.
Even though you're gone physically, you had the largest amount of energy that you'd give off, which is something that will never ever leave this realm. It will never diminish over time. It will never lose its power. And when we all get a smile on our face, or reminisce about our times with you, that energy returns, and we will feel your smile and embrace it.
It's so cliche when people say, "If there's anything I can do..." because there is absolutely nothing that anybody could do that can ease the pain your family is experiencing right now.
I've lost a brother, and I won't sugarcoat it, it's horrible. But it gets better. Your family grows towards each other, and you become so much closer.
If I could offer anything, it's this:
It's so hard not to dwell on the final moments of someone's life, but rather than doing that, you celebrate. Celebrate his life, celebrate how he touched everyone he encountered, celebrate every single moment that was spent with him. It's so hard, guys, I know. But you have so many people behind you, just waiting to answer your call to do anything. I know that each of you feels alone and out of touch right now. But when someone mentions "Andzel", I automatically think of unwavering courage in times of sorrow. This too, shall pass. And when the time comes, you too shall leave and meet Mickey once again, and begin a whole new chapter of life.
And guys, his energy is still here, and it will never dim with time.
Every single person in Tallahassee is here to lend a hand whenever it's necessary. And you know that he is watching over each and every one of you. He isn't gone. Every time any of us smiles, we will remember Mickey, and that smile he bestowed on all of us.

Chipper,
The entire Taylor family has you in our thoughts and prayers. We share your tears and pray for peace for you and the rest of your family. You will go through many emotions, from sadness, anger, and dispair. Don't give up hope and know that you're not alone. Allow your wonderful memories to comfort your hearts.
My mom wrote this poem for my brother. I hope it provides you some small comfort:
Thank you all for loving me enough to let me go.
To follow the path God planned for me even though you miss me so.
I am so sorry for the sadness my passing causes you.
Replace the sad with happy for me and for you too.
Don't hold me back with grieving, let me soar to heights afar.
My spirit watches over you no matter where you are.
A breeze, a sound, a memory will tell you I am there.
Wishing you loving moments to know how much I care.
No grief, no pain, no sorrow – God has truly set me free.
Remember this tomorrow and smile when you think of me.
