Everson, Washington - Robert Michael Barness, Jr., age 36, our beloved son, brother, and nephew, went home to Heaven Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Rob was born April 14, 1987 in Canoga Park/West Hills, CA, to Elaine and Robert Barness, Sr.. Rob dearly loved family, friends, and the great outdoors. He enjoyed metal detecting, antique shows, hikes in the woods, children, humor, holidays, and all animals. Rob was such a kind-hearted person. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, October 10, 2023, 1:00 PM at the Lynden Community, 680 Grover Street, Lynden, WA, 98264 with Pastor Jonathon Lee officiating. My Beautiful always smiling , sweet, kind hearted, loving son. I have always and will forever love you. We always did out best to help each other more so then anyone we have encountered. We were best friends and extremely spiritual friends at that. We were always together through his entire 36 years.. Yes my grief is beyond description. So everyday I find myself talking to him and feeling him one way or another. I know my life will never be the same being he was my only son and I only have pictures and some of his hair to hold to my heart. However, every day I will always look for him in a flower or a star or just sitting and talking to me in the spirit. I love you so much Robert.

Such tragic & sad news to hear of Roberts passing.
We often went metal detecting together & shared a love of history & the outdoors.
Robert was always willing to help people & had a kind & friendly soul.
I will miss him & pray his friends & family find solace & peace knowing he is with God in heaven at peace.
