Roberta LeMaster Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Gillies Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Lynden on Feb. 10, 2026.
Roberta LeMaster (nee Romberg) was born on June 28, 1964, in Everson, Washington, to Ralph "Buddy" and Ann (nee Renses) Romberg. In 1966, she moved with her mother and sister, Nancy, to Yakima, Washington, where she grew up and later graduated from Davis High School in 1982.

She met her husband, Steven LeMaster, in 1988 and married him one month later. Roberta was a devoted military spouse during Steven's service in the United States Army. Together, they raised four children while navigating frequent moves and long separations. Through it all, family remained at the center of her life. She shared a deep and enduring bond with her husband. In her words, "Where you go, I go"-a reflection of a love that guided their life together and shaped the way she lived.

In her later years, Roberta worked as a contract worker for the United States Postal Service delivering mail in Deming, Washington. The residents on her route became a cherished part of her day-to-day life. She treasured simple pleasures: watching Seattle Mariners games with her mother, working on puzzles, and enjoying British mystery shows. She loved quiet evenings, familiar routines, and time spent with the people she cared about most.

Roberta passed away on February 5, 2026, just 13 days after her beloved husband Steven LeMaster.

Roberta was preceded in death by her father, mother, and her husband. She is survived by her children: Kathleen; Elizabeth Smith and her husband, Allen Smith; Jonathan LeMaster; and Joshua LeMaster and his wife, Brooke LeMaster; and her cherished grandchildren: Abigail LeMaster, Kaison Smith, Ellie Smith, Mason LeMaster, Axl Smith, Jax LeMaster, and Niko. She is also survived by her beloved sister, Nancy and many Romberg cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Gillies Funeral Home, Lynden.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
