Bob, my dear friend..I am so sad knowing you have passed. Such a caring man that would help anyone in need. So many have passed from the American Legion Post #86 & now you've joined them. They need their designated driver! Thank you for being our friend. RIP

Bob and I were high school friends. In spring 63 Bob came with me back to Santa Barbara Calif. Bob fit right in with the 60´s culture gang. His personality of making instant friends did him well. He always remember his obligations. He was a true blue enduring friend. The world could use many more Bob Stengers.

Only got to know the pure goodness of Bob in the short time we have been around him. He had a kind heart and cheerful attitude, made good buddies with my toddler Sammy always having "fist bumps" when we came to visit. Bob cared deeply for his doggy Charlie. Always in our hearts, uncle Bob!

My Jack (Smart) and Bob were best of friends for many years. Jack was the Bug Doctor always collecting and working on air cooled VWS and Bob was Honda Bob, collecting and working on Hondas among collecting many other interesting things. When our Son Jake was headed to his Prom, Bob showed up at our house in his very rare and beautiful little sports car and offered it to Jake to drive for Prom night. Bob's heart was as big as the sky and very tender hearted as well. Tender hearted people often have their hearts broken because they care SO much. Bob was no exception to that. May you rest in the glory of the Light you are Bob and maybe many of us will see you again next time around. Spirit hugs to you and to Jack as well. You both left us way too soon. Francie Smart

I first knew Bob when we were very young, living in the "Project" on Pacific Street where the B'ham Public Works Campus is today. This was the later 1940's, he and his family lived next door to us. His family and my family were close friends for decades. Bob was always a very generous person. My best wishes go out to his family and friends. Jeff Fox.
