Gail, Linda, and Steve,

I am sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I always remember your family living across the big corn field from us. I hope you have very fond memories of your Mother, and think of those good times when you miss your Mom.

With love,

I was lucky enough to grow up next door to my grandparents for the first twelve years of my life. During this time my day to day life included time with them. Grandma was always there, ready to talk, to just sit and read or watch t.v. She was relaxed and easygoing and never acted like she tired of the company of a little girl who talked a lot and asked lots of questions. Grandma was smart and a voracious reader. She encouraged me to read anything on her bookshelves never making me think her books were too hard or just for grown ups. One year when I was about eight we read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn together. I will always treasure that story and that memory. Grandma had a quick wit, she was straight-forward and would tell you what she thought. If you didn't want a strait answer best look elsewhere. I wish more people were like that. As a granddaughter I know I was loved. I loved my grandma very much and will miss her always. I hope she is dancing in heaven on a unflawed set of legs, playing pinochle, laughing, and loving on family and friends that she missed dearly. Love you grandma!

Grandma Lorraine was more than just my grandmother. She was my friend. I have so many memories with her. She was such a big part of my childhood and my adult life as well. When life got hectic and I needed a reality check, I would sit in the rocker next to Grandmas chair and fill her in on my life. In her very practical and no nonsense way she would ground me with her reassuring words. I love her. I will always love her. I miss her so much. I would give anything to have her back. Even for one day. I love you, Grandma.

Lorinda and I met when we were 4 years old and are now 37. I have always counted on Lorraine to be there at family gatherings, birthday parties, and often just to visit with a cup of coffee. She has been so lovely to me over the years and will be very missed. My thoughts and most sincere sympathy to Linda and John, who have always treated me like a third daughter, during this time. And also to Lorinda, may you find comfort knowing how much your grandmother truly loved you. She touched my life and will not be forgotten. My love to the entire family, Aimee (Lorinda's best friend)

The thing I remember most about grandma Lorraine, was her smile.Whenever she would walk into a room, her smile would light it up.And no matter what kind of day you were having, her smile would make you feel so much better. She will be greatly missed. My condolences go out to her family during this very difficult time.
