Walter "Walt" William Hensley
February 2, 1938 - August 21, 2023
Bellingham, Washington - Chief Petty Officer Walter William Hensley, born February 2, 1938, in Bremerton, WA passed away peacefully on August 21, 2023, in Bellingham, WA. He was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be remembered for his fun-loving sense of humor and his love of tinkering and fixing things. He was a proud and patriotic Navy veteran serving many years of active duty as well as serving in the reserves prior to retiring. He is survived by his wife, Florence Hensley, his brother Jack, and many children and grandchildren. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Whatcom Hospice staff and the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
