William McGee Obituary

William Ray McGee, 79, of Ferndale, Washington, passed away on August 22, 2025. Bill was born on October 31st, 1945, in Metaline Falls, Washington, to parents Ernest McGee and Mayme (Bower) McGee. Bill served in the U.S. Navy from October 18, 1965, through October 17, 1967. On November 19, 1966, he married Mary Kaye Kohlieber. Bill spent most of his working career at the Intalco aluminum smelter outside Ferndale, WA. He retired from Intalco on February 29, 2008.

Bill loved his family and especially his 3 grandchildren. Bill also loved to BBQ for his family and friends; his specialty was shrimp and steak. Bill was an avid sports enthusiast and loved his Seahawks and Mariners as well as Ferndale High School football. He is survived by his 3 children, Todd McGee, Toni Ladner (husband Wes), Joel McGee (wife Amy ), 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, sister Joyce Evans, and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday September 12th at Laurel Church (162 W. Laurel Rd. Bellingham, WA).
