Dear Syd and family,
We go way back as childhood friends. I always thought of Mike as a big brother. He was rough around the edges but soft as teddy bear. He has a heart of gold.
I am so very sorry for your loss. My condolences to you Syd. May God provide you with comfort during this time.

Having known Mike for over 50 years, to call him friend is an understatement. We first met through DeMolay, when he would come from Alaska to visit, then worked with him at Sea Links, played ball with the IA and Whatcom Tire teams. He introduced me to his good friends, Dave and Pam Hunz in Skagway and we made the fishing trip there over a dozen times. I could have quite a book of all the things that happened. After he moved out of Ferndale we still kept in touch and would get together for lunch with my brother Gary every couple a months. News of his passing saddened not only myself but my entire family. He will be greatly missed.
