Dean R. Brown

Milton, WI - Dean Brown, age 80, of Milton, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at St. Mary's Hospital in Janesville, surrounded by his family. Dean was born on February 27, 1945, to Russell and Francis Brown of Milton. He married Margaret Mitchell on June 24, 1967, and together they raised three children. Dean served in the National Army Guard before farming and working for Hallmark Drywall for more than 30 years. Throughout his life, Dean had been a 4-H leader and enjoyed traveling across the United States with Margaret and their granddaughter. He was also a regular at the YMCA, where he enjoyed staying active. Dean was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Milton. Dean is survived by his wife, Margaret, his children Bonnie Brown of Janesville, Scott Brown of Katy, Texas, and Gail Brown of Milton; his granddaughter Jasmine Brown of Madison; his brothers Dale (Geri) Brown of Excelsior Springs, MO, and Keith (Nancy) Brown of Janesville; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Francis Brown.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 am Thursday October 16, 2025. Visitation time will be Wednesday October 15, 2025 from 5pm-7pm and again on Thursday from 10:00am until time of services at the funeral home. Burial to follow in East Lawn Cemetery in Beloit following services. Memorials may be made to Hope Lutheran Church. The Albrecht Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Milton is assisting the family with arrangements.
