Kenneth R. Hansen

1925 - 2025

Beloit, WI - Kenneth Russell Hansen passed away quietly on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at the age of 100. His son and daughter at his side. A lifelong Beloiter, he was born January 11, 1925 to Victor and Lillian (Goeson) Hansen. Ken was a Beloit High School graduate. He married Vernice Munson on September 20, 1947 in Beloit and they celebrated 58 years of marriage. She predeceased him on July 15, 2005. Ken was a member of the Beloit Elks Club and a member of Beloit Kiwanis for over 40 years, being President in 1972, Kiwanian of the year in 2006, and was awarded the George Hixson Fellow Award. He was a life long member of Our Savior's Lutheran. He began working at Vic Hansen & Sons during his teen years and became co-owner with his brother, Dick after his father's death. Ken was an incredibly hard worker and was known as a jokeseter - great with sayings and one liners! He is survived by his daughter, Susan (Glenn) Warner of Lottsburg, VA; son, Jeffrey Hansen of Beloit, WI; granddaughter, Jaimie Harrison and her daughters, Brooke and Paige of Phoenix, AZ; grandson, Andrew (Leslie) and their daughter, Lyla of Coronado, CA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ken was predeceased by his wife, Vernice; parents; sister, Dolores Graham; brother, Richard Hansen; infant brother, Lester Hansen; and infant sister, Leona Hansen. A Graveside Service for Ken will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, August 16, 2025 in East Lawn Cemetery with Jean Lincoln officiating.
