Betty,

We were very sorry to hear of Bernie's passing. He was a great man and a friend to so many. It’s amazing how much he has contributed to the community and to his country during his lifetime. He is one of the people that have made a difference.

It meant a great deal to my father that you and Bernie were able to make it to his 90th birthday last summer. The two of them were locked at the hip all day recanting old memories of growing up together on Jackson Street and their time in the Post Office together. It really made the day.

God Bless you and your family.

Betty and family,
I am saddened to hear of the passing of Bernie. I am so glad we were able to spend an afternoon last summer together at our farm. My dad considered Bernie to be one of his closest friends, and I am grateful as was dad Bernie visited during the years before dad passed.
May God bring you comfort.

To all of Bernie's family ~ our deepest sympathy on your loss. He was a great man ~ always looked forward to seeing his smile and having a chat when he was at the post office. While he is safely in heaven, the love and memories you shared will never die. May God grant you peace and strength during this time and the year of "firsts" without him. You are in our prayers.
