Mrs Williams,
Hall, Amanda Lane, Sarah,
I am saddened to learn of Mr Williams passing. I spent a lot of time in the Williams household with Hall and was lucky enough to get to know him. The most intelligent man I´ve ever met, and funny. God bless you all.

John´s steadfast integrity, grasp of issues and ability to unravel knotty problems made him a superb lawyer. When I joined the local bar 40+ years ago I saw immediately that John had the respect of all the lawyers in town. Beyond his law practice, John contributed so much more to the life of the Bennington community -- often quietly. We were lucky to have him for so many years.

John´s thoughtful and steady legal advice as counsel to The Regional Affordable Housing Corporation (RAHC) enabled the organization to successfully undertake the difficult and complex work of creating safe and affordable housing for scores of Bennington County residents. It was a privilege to have worked with him during my tenure at RAHC. Bennington has lost a great champion. Diane Binnick

Deb, my deepest condolences to you and your family. John´s cheery "Good day" and steady whistle as he walked Elm Street to and from his office still echoes in my memory. Bennington has lost a good man.

John provided a lot of sensible, helpful legal advice to those individuals and businesses fortunate enough to receive it. He first kept from me doing something stupid :) in the early 70's. I will always be indebted to John. Peter Donavan
