Carl E. Thygesen COSSAYUNA Carl E. Thygesen died peacefully at home on November 12, 2010. The family is sure he is with the Lord caring for his heavenly dairy herd. Carl is survived by his wife Rita; son, Kyle and his wife Jen and grandson Keenan of Tunbridge, Vt.; his Aunt Eileen Petterson of Clifton Park, N.Y. and her children, who were more than cousins, Wayne and Richard of Clifton Park, Donald of Guilford, N.H. and Glenn of Suwanee, Ga., and their families; his cousins, Ken Thygesen of Cossayuna and Carolyn Legrys of Cambridge and their families; a very special friend Isabelle Guthrie and his three siblings. He was predeceased by his parents and a niece. Carl owned and operated Bunker Hill Farms, a registered Holstein dairy. Active in the ag community, he belonged to and held office in numerous groups. He was a former member of Greenwich Town Board and Greenwich Planning board. He was a former member and organist for Ashlar Lodge. At his request, there will be no calling hours. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 20 at Bottskill Baptist Church, Church Street, Greenwich with Rev. Sandra Spaulding, pastor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of the M.B. Kilmer Funeral Home, 123 Main St., Argyle, NY 12809.
