1928 - 2015 BENNINGTON Charles D. Senecal, 86, a resident of North Bennington Road died Monday April 27, 2015 at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY following a brief illness. He was born in Bennington, VT October 18, 1928. He was the son of the late Earl and Edith (Jordan) Senecal. Chuck received his education in Bennington where he attended Saint Francis de Sales Academy. He married the former Pauline Hall August 16, 1945. In earlier years Mr. Senecal was employed as the General Manager at Knit Goods in Chicopee, MA. He later worked as a sewing machine mechanic and manager at Thomson Manufacturing in Bennington and had also owned and operated Simpson Manufacturing in Bennington. For several years Chuck was employed at Chem Fab in North Bennington from which he retired. He enjoyed motorcycling, fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Pauline Senecal of North Bennington, two sons, Arthur J. Senecal of North Bennington and Scott Senecal and his wife, Jeannie of Baldwinsville, NY; 11 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, a brother, Earl Senecal of Bennington and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was pre-deceased by a son, Terry Senecal, three sisters, Catherine Briggs, Edith Bent and Virginia Senecal and two brothers, Louis and Francis Senecal. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday May 1, 2015 at 1 p.m. Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Friday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. The burial will take place in the family lot in White Chapel Cemetery in Bennington. If friends desire contributions in memory of Charles D.
