Dora Bentley-Eggsware 1933-2012 BENNINGTON Dora Bentley-Eggsware, 78 formerly of Arlington, Vt., passed away Sunday February 12, 2012 at The Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington. Dora was born in Albany, N.Y., on July 14, 1933 the daughter of Morris and Eva (McDonough) Luft and attended local schools. She worked as a lunch aid in School 23 in Albany, N.Y., for many years. Dora enjoyed watching television, knitting and crocheting. She liked to draw pictures, enjoyed listening to country and Christian music and Bruce Springsteen and she loved the color pink. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Arlington. Dora is survived by her husband Gary Eggsworth of Bennington whom she married in Bennington on September 24, 2001, her children; Rich Bentley and his wife Laurie of Barre, Vt., Bruce Bentley of Menands, N.Y., and Sharon Miles and her husband William of Bennington, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her first husband Raymond John Bentley from East Arlington who died in 1982. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Dora will be held Saturday morning February 18, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home Arlington Chapel Historic Route 7A Arlington, Vt. Pastor Edwin Blue of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Bennington will officiate. Interment will follow in the family lot in Ira Allen Cemetery in Sunderland. There are no visiting hours. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow at the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in Bennington.
