Eugene Mariani Obituary
Beloved husband of the late Geraldine Mariani. Adored father of Nancy and the late Louis Mariani. Father-in-law of Corinne Mariani. Loving grandfather of Nicolle & her husband Marc Kesack. Cherished great-grandfather of Lila and Luke. Dear brother of the late Joseph and Wilbert Mariani. Endeared uncle of Bob Mariani & his wife Barbara, Glenn Mariani & his wife Esther, Sandy Buczynski & her husband Buzz and other nieces & nephews.
Mr. Mariani was a World War II veteran serving in the Army Air Corps. He was a Deputy Chief of the Paterson Fire Department prior to his retirement in 1975. After retiring, Eugene was the manager at the Bennington State Airport. He loved his family and animals, having a beer with his friends, flying his plane, reading, writing letters, doing number puzzles and working outside.
Friends will be received Thursday 8:30 - 9:30AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, New Jersey. Funeral Mass Thursday 10AM St. Thomas More Church. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Center, 1779 Vermont Rte 7a, Arlington, VT 05250 or New Jersey Firemen's Home, 565 Lathrop Avenue, Boonton, NJ 07005.
