James Spofford Obituary
Jim was predeceased by: his father, Roy Spofford; mother, Helena (Quackenbush) Spofford; brother, Avery "Touk" Spofford; sister, Beatrice "Bea" Lancto; and his beloved wife of over 50 years, Merriom (Read) Spofford. He is survived by: his sons, Raymond and his wife Sandy and Steven and his wife, Megan; grandchildren, Jacob, Noel and Ainsley Spofford; step-grandchildren, Chuck Lashinsky and Katie Baggs; and several nieces and nephews.
A private funeral will be held for family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jim's name to Hospice of Southern Maine, 390 US Route One, Scarborough, ME 04074.

I worked with Jim back in the late 70's early 80's at Globe Union. He was a great man and a good supervisor. It's nice to see that he enjoyed his retirement years. My condolences to his family.
