LeRoy Andrews
1932 - 2010 NORTH POWNAL, VT LeRoy Andrews passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, at his home in Decatur, Ga. "Andy" was born on Oct. 13, 1932, son of Percey and Edith Andrews.
LeRoy was predeceased by his wife of 49 years, Donna Ann King Andrews, and daughter, Christine. LeRoy and Donna raised their children in North Pownal. They leave their children, Michael and Deborah Andrews and their son, Evan, of Southbury, Conn., Mark and Rhonda Andrews and his son, Zachary, of Bennington, Michele and Marc Riehl and their son, Morgan, of Alpharetta, Ga., Melissa Andrews and her son, Tristan, of Atlanta, Ga., and Marcy Andrews of Decatur, Ga.
LeRoy enlisted in the Armed Forces in 1950 and was honorably discharged in 1962. He was a member of the North Pownal volunteer fire dept. for many years. "Andy" was office-holding founding member of the Pownal American Legion and a long standing member of the Lions Club, where he held many positions.
Our Dad (Grandpa Andy) will be sadly missed; Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
MEMORIAL NOTICE: Public services to celebrate his life will be held in Bennington in the spring.
