Linda O'Connell Obituary


SUNDERLAND

Linda K. "Tooter" O'Connell, 71 a resident of Chiselville Road died peacefully Monday January 7, 2013 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center following a long lengthy illness. Tooter was born in Sunderland on July 4, 1941, she was one of eight children born to Ernest and Gertrude (Ennis) Bolster. A lifelong resident of Sunderland she married Edward P. O'Connell in Arlington on March 17, 1967. She had worked at Ben-Mont Manufacturing, Mack Molding and was a caregiver for Mrs. Leake in Arlington.

She will be remembered as a kind, caring and compassionate person who enjoyed her family. She was accomplished at crocheting and knitting, she also enjoyed going tag saling, often bringing along the kids so she could buy them something special.

Tooter leaves her husband Edward of Sunderland, daughter Justina Myers of Hampton, NY, step daughter Sherry Wooldridge of FL, brothers Ernie Bolster of White Creek and Henry Bolster of Sunderland, sisters Charlotte Lampman of Sunderland, Helen Tudor of Manchester, Martha Violette of Eagle Bridge, NY, Dianne Jennings of Arlington and Pat Delaney of Sunderland, grandchildren Mathew, Katelyn and Abagail, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday January 10 at 11am at the Arlington Chapel of the Hanson-Walbridge & Shea Funeral Home, she will be laid to rest next to her mother in the Ira Allen Cemetery following the service. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8pm when the family will be present.
