Patricia Capella Obituary

Patricia T. Capella 1932 - 2009 BENNINGTON, VT Patricia T. "Pat" Capella, 77, a resident of Barney Road in Bennington passed away Saturday October 24, 2009, in Bennington following a long illness. She was born in Bennington May 1, 1932. She was the daughter of Joseph and Anna Stockwell Towslee. Pat received her education in Bennington and was a graduate of Bennington High School. She married Carl Capella on July 2, 1950, in Bennington. In earlier years, Pat was a business partner with Carl in real estate, swimming pool sales and supplies, the White Birches Mobile Home Park and the Midtown Motel. Pat enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time at the family camp in Woodford. She leaves her husband, Carl Capella of Bennington; two daughters, Diane "Dede" Allard and her husband, John, of Bennington and Karen Post of Bennington; six grandchildren, Steve Carbonaro, Tyler Capella, Colin Capella, Erica Allard, John Allard, and Andrea Allard, all of Bennington, and six great-grandchildren. Pat also leaves her caregiver, Stella Hamilton, and family of Bennington. She was predeceased by a son, John Capella, who died in 1986. MEMORIAL NOTICE: Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. If friends desire contributions in memory of Pat may be made to the Alzheimer's Association through the office of the MAHAR AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201.
