Patricia Hemming

Patricia R. Hemming 1929-2010 TROY Patricia R. Hemming of Troy, was called to heaven to be with relations and friends on August 4, 2010 after a long and relatively happy and healthy life. Patricia loved and was loved, she sang, danced, laughed often and will be truly missed by many. Born in Bennington, Vt. on May 18, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Esperance (Fillmore) and Wifred Ratelle and the wife of the late Robert O. Hemming. Patricia was educated in Bennington and graduated from Bennington High School, class of 1947. Patricia fondly recalled her early years in Bennington her entire life. Patricia enjoyed literature, art and music and was an accomplished mother and home maker, artist, craftsperson, potter and friend. Patricia found much pleasure spending time with her granddaughters, gardening, baking, reminiscing with old friends, playing bridge with new friends and being at home with her many projects to be done and plans to fulfill. She enjoyed life. Patricia leaves behind three sons, Robert, Thomas and Jason as well as her daughters-in-law, Deborah and Jennifer and her beautiful granddaughters, Sarah and Lydia, her niece Patricia and many dear friends and neighbors. Patricia was predeceased by her loving sister Helen, as well as many cousins and life long friends from the Bennington area. Patricia's family would liek to express a deep appreciation for the wonderful care and conern she received by the Cardiac and Repiratory heath care providers at Albany Medical Center in the weeks preceding her passing. FUNERAL NOTICE: A family memorial service was recently held for Patricia in Troy.
