Paul D. Bucchieri

1953 - 2023

Paul D. Bucchieri passed on to his heavenly home on Saturday, June 3, 2023. Born June, 1953 in Southington, CT, to Emily Palladino and Vincent J. Bucchieri. Paul attended elementary and high school in Bristol, CT. In 1976, two years after marrying his high school sweetheart, Wendy Washenko, the couple moved to Manchester, VT. Three years later in 1979 they moved to Arlington where they purchased a home and raised their six children.

Paul was a hard-working carpenter and talented craftsman. He developed close bonds with several families he built homes for, and you can find his beautiful craftsmanship all over Sandgate and the surrounding areas.

Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading newspapers and hunting magazines and most of all "grooving" in nature. He will be remembered fondly for his quick wit, pranks, silly dad jokes, and his willingness to always lend a helping hand. There wasn't a child who graced his presence who walked away without one of the signature $2 bills that he always had in his pocket. His pride and joy were his five girls and one boy, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Paul was very much loved by his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Paul is survived by his wife Wendy of 49 years; children Autumn (Aiden Charbonneau), Amber Bucchieri, Joy Bucchieri, Obadiah Bucchieri (Courtney), Olivia Bucchieri, Bonnie Bucchieri; grandchildren Avery (Alex Paustian), Isaac Sibley, Thorin Matthieu, Phoebe and Daphne Bucchieri; great-grandchildren Harlow Paustian and (due next week) Walker Paul Paustian; his siblings Claire Lewandowski, Joseph Bucchieri and Diane Castonguay. He was preceded in death by his parents Vincent and Emily and his grandchildren Oliver and Willow.

Memorial service will be at the Arlington Community Church, 62 Covered Bridge Rd., West Arlington, VT (covered bridge) on Thursday, June 8th, at 11:00 AM.
