Paul Koninis Obituary
In his military associations, Paul served in the army for 2 years. He then pursued a successful career, moving to Bennington in June of 1968. He was the president of the Vermont Corporation and operated Wagon Wheel Woolens, a sweater store, from 1969 to 1987 with his wife Concetta Koninis and business partners William and Nancy Bartels. Paul also dedicated 25 years of his life to the GPP Company.
Paul and Joan moved to Bluffton, South Carolina in 2004 upon his retirement and came back to VT for the summers.
Paul is survived by his partner of over 20 years, Joan Gabriel, his daughters Demetria Koninis and Maria Mitzi Sansivero, son-in-laws David Washburn and Frank Sansivero, grandchildren Alexander Washburn, Stephan Washburn, and granddaughter-in-law Britney Washburn. He is preceded in death by his wife, Concetta Koninis, of 35 years.
A small memorial service will be held in the Spring to honor Paul's life. Contributions in his memory can be made to the charity of your choice or via https://www.cra-recycle.org/about/.
