Pauline Dechene Obituary
1927 - 2016 Pauline Y. Dechene, 89, a former resident of Main St. in Bennington died Wednesday October 26, 2016 at the Crescent Manor Care Center in Bennington. She was born in Berlin, New Hampshire April 20, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Couture. Pauline loved spending time with her family and was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her son Richard Dechene and his wife Rene and a daughter Pierrette Smith and her husband Wade; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her husband Ben Dechene, two daughters, Jeannette Alvarado and Annette Gosselin, her two son in laws, Earl Bishop and Fernando Alvarado, a granddaughter, Cindy Bishop and most recently a great great grandson, Michael Colley. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held from the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Saturday October 29, at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Mahar and Son Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. If friends desire contributions in memory of Pauline may be made to Ones Favorite Charity through the office of the Mahar and Son Funeral Home 628 Main St. Bennington, VT 05201. I am so sorry to here of Pauline's passing, my prayers go out to all family and friends. I met with Pauline once a year for 13 years when I worked at VSHA, and absolutely adored her!
