Robert Bornt Obituary
Robert was born on August 29, 1970, in Bennington, VT, son of Patricia (Morin) Bornt of Hoosick Falls and the late Michael Bornt. He graduated from Hoosick Falls Central School. Robert was employed with the NYDOT as a maintenance supervisor.
Robert was the current Hoosick Falls Fire Chief, a member of the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad and was the CSEA regional union president. He also coached softball, enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling and was the proud grandpa to Bentley.
Survivors other than his wife Sabrina, mother Patricia include his children Charles Hodge Bornt, Allyson Bornt, grandson Bentley Jewett, sister Julie Bryant, nieces Cortney, Jennifer, Serenity, Olson and Page Humphrey, nephew Garret Humphrey, parent in-laws Erwin (Arlene) Hodge, sister-in-law Lemonie (Bruce) Humphrey and great niece Aubree.
Relatives and friends may call at the Town of Hoosick Armory on Saturday, June 7th, from 10:00 am-2:00 pm. The Firemen's Last Call Service will be held Saturday at 6:00 pm, from the Hoosick Falls Fire Station, with a reception to follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Hoosick Falls Fire Department or the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, who are handling the arrangements.
People are encouraged to park at the Hoosick Falls Central School parking lot; shuttle services will be available from the school parking lot to the Armory.
